Other Spaces: Collaborative Project at Slessor Gardens Dundee with Sharing Not Hoarding

I was invited by Dundee Based curatorial collective Sharing Not Hoarding to present work at their site on the temporary building hoardings at the newly built Slessor Gardens, part of the ongoing redevelopment of the Dundee waterfront.

I chose to use this opportunity to commission 7 artists I worked with in the context of artist-led spaces, both in Scotland and in Trinidad & Tobago. The artists were invited to respond to Foucault’s concept of Heterotopia – each was asked to photograph themselves within a Heterotopic space and then present their own interpretation of a map of that space.

The installation was presented in Slessor Gardens in January 2018
